Good Things Take Time original gouache painting
A painting that serves as a reminder to be patient and that good things are coming, but may take some time. Trust and have faith!
Surfing is an extremely humbling sport that is pretty much a perfect metaphor for life.
You have to be patient, you have to observe, you have to paddle this way and that. You may miss a wave, find yourself in the impact zone, or get yelled at by an angsty hydro-foiler. You may sit out there for an hour waiting for something rideable to pop up, only to catch a single measly bump that lasts seconds.
But ya just gotta embrace it, cause if you don’t, you won’t ever catch anything. You won’t (and can’t) progress in any way. You gotta accept what’s coming at you in the moment and find peace in the waiting.
Have faith that something good is coming your way, even if that means sometimes waiting for what feels like an eternity, paddling until your arms become noodles, or getting tossed in the whitewater.
Good things take time.
50% of all profits will go to the Busyhead Project, an organization that works to reduce the stigma around mental health and provide mental health resources to communities.
